High Resolution 3D Laser Scanning Services

3D laser scanning technology captures exact point cloud data for creating 2D CAD drawings and 3D BIM models of physical asset. Utilizing the latest technology, software and Leica scanners, Tejjy professionals facilitate reality capture of building design. The digitally scanned data is converted into as built data for architecture, engineering, construction sector.

Successfully delivering 3D scan services for general contractors, architects, and developers for over 150+ million square feet and happily continuing. We as an experienced 3D laser scanning company ensure precise 3D laser scan to CAD / BIM for avoiding clashes and reduce project delay.

The high-quality digital recording of existing conditions has transformed construction projects with sustainable engineering solutions.

Construction 3D Laser Scanning Process

3d laser scanning planning

The laser scanning procedure starts with detailed planning after consulting the client and understanding the project scope. The planning is about detailing equipment and on-site manpower deployment. The use of laser scanning equipment should be compatible with specific project requirements. A single laser scanner type cannot be utilized in all kinds of site capture scenarios. The same is the case with the workforce performing the scan.

site 3d laser scanning

The building is scanned to capture accurate point cloud data using suitable laser scanners as per the scanning requirements. The fundamentals of scanning have to be taken care of. Right from setting up the laser scanner and taking care of visual obstruction during the scan to finding suitable location points that cover the maximum part of the region, the objective of the scan would be to provide non-disruptive, clear-point cloud data.

Scan to BIM & CAD Modeling

The scanned point cloud data is converted into 2D drawings or 3D BIM models as per client requirements.

Scan To BIM: Utilizing BIM software Autodesk Revit point cloud data is modeled. The point cloud conversion to a 3D model is completed at this stage. Modelers trace over the point cloud data to create accurate representations of walls, floors, ceilings, and other architectural and structural elements.

Scan To CAD: For 2D CAD drawings, the point cloud data is converted using CAD software. At this stage drafters are able to create detailed floor plans, elevations, sections, and other architectural or engineering drawings. Tejjy cad drafters manually trace over the point cloud data to create accurate 2D representations of the scanned environment. Design annotations are added for better clarity

QA-QC-for-survillance

We adhere to a rigorous quality assurance procedure that involves examining all deliverables to ensure that clients receive accurate data. The final as-built model is delivered, which is to be used for renovation, remodeling, facility management, and digital twinning. Remember, laser scanning and point cloud-to-model conversion are the first steps in your AEC operations.
